Rare 19th Century Dutch "KUIKENBOOR" Brace with Boxwood button

  • Fine and beautiful 19th century Dutch KUIKENBOOR brace with one removable pod (bit holder).

    Brass bound appears to be birchwood or similiar with boxwood button and working original spring catch holding the pods in place.  Button is still well fixed and turns easily with little play.

    Very rich patina which looks and feels like this was a well handled but cared for tool.  A rare and interesting piece for the collector.
