    Well used fairly early looking bowood rule. Marking are very faint but it is possible to read "WARRENT BEST BOXWOOD" and No.11..

    A well used rule worn beautifully smooth from use with numbers still visible in ornate script.  Brass hinges are still remarkably sound and the rule remains straight when fully opened (something even less used rules often don't do).  Small saw nicks on one brass end that tell the story of its use rather than detracting.  

    A nice find. 

    Size: length 2' x 1" extended.  6" x 2" folded.
